Matilda Parker is the Managing Director of the National Port Authority (NPA) Systems in Liberia. The NPA System has 4 ports: Monrovia, Buchanan, Greenville and Harper. The Freeport of Monrovia is the main port and handles over 90% of Liberia’s trade. The NPA has regulatory control over Port waters for vessel traffic movement, anchoring and berthing. She has authority to acquire land space for development into offices, warehouses, industrial estates, etc for the purpose of its own use and to lease.
Ms. Parker is an impressive, high achieving executive with over 20-years of hands-on experience in Finance, Program/Vendor Management, International Relations, Enterprise Transformation, Business Operations, Telecommunications, Information Technology, and General Management. Her career path expands from small to large corporations in both the domestic and international arenas. She holds a successful track record as the visionary, creator and driver of strategies and industry best practices that have repeatedly delivered record setting gains. Matilda has consistently taken the initiative to reduce cost, identify and deploy critical technology, plan and implement cross-functional programs, operational policies and joint ventures.
Prior to joining NPA, she served as a Senior Director at AT&T; a company with over 300 thousand employees worldwide, and $120 billion in revenue. Prior to AT&T, Ms. Parker held senior positions at Nextel (now Sprint) and GlobalOne (now Equant), two telecommunication giants in the United States. Earlier in her career, she reported directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of non-profit organizations.
Matilda began her formative years in Liberia, and later Torquay and Paignton, England. She returned to Liberia where she graduated from High School. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems with honors [magna cum laude]; and holds an Executive MBA from the University of Texas. As a part of her Executive Program, she completed an international residency study at Grenoble Ecole de Management, in Paris. Her international assignments during this program were in Paris and Prague, and she received The Avnet Outstanding Achievement Award for Excellence in the development of enterprise transformation strategies.

Cllr. S. Gayah Karmo is the Deputy Managing Director for Administration at the National Port Authority. The Authority by an Act of Legislature is empowered to administer all existing ports and water ways as well as future ports and water ways within the Republic of Liberia.
Principally, Cllr. Karmo is clothed with the responsibility to supervise administrative activities of the Authority and ensure that Port users have the required enabling work environment to enable them effectively operate on the premises of the Authority. He also provides support to the Managing Director in guiding and leading the work of the Authority as well as maintaining relationships with customers and other stakeholders relevant to the operations of the Authority. He deputizes as Managing Director in the absence of the Managing Director.
Cllr. Karmo is result oriented and believes in team work. He possesses an enviable people skill trait. He comes to the position with wealth of experience both within the public and private sectors where he held senior administrative positions.
He is a trained lawyer and once served as Commissioner of the Bureau of Immigration and Naturalization and Deputy Attorney General of the Republic of Liberia.
He acquired practical and specialized knowledge in port operations and administration, while working for the National Port Authority for twelve (12) unbroken years. His training in the area of Port Administration started from entry level jobs on the NPA pier through senior managerial positions and subsequent advance specialized studies in Europe.
The Deputy Managing Director for Administration earned a post graduate Diploma in Port and Shipping Administration (DPSA) and a Master of Science Degree in Marine Law and Policy (MSc) from the University of Wales Institute of Science and Technology (UWIST), respectively in Wales, United Kingdom.

Mr. Jeffery George is the Managing Director/Operation of the National Port Authorty System of Liberia. Liberia has ports of which the NPA has regulatory and administrative control. Mrs George's functions entail direct supervision over the system operations.
Mr. George's 21 years of experience in port operations and harbor administration endowed him with exceptional managerial skills and human relations attributes; a recipe for success for National Port Authority System.
Over the years, Mr. George had worked as Deputy Commissioner for Administration, Deputy Commissioner for Legal Affairs; and Senior Legal Director for the Bufreau of Maritime Affairs. He also worked as Assistant Planning Manager, Planning Manager, Project Analyst; Port Manager Port of Harper, Greenville and Buchanan, National Port Authority.
Mr. George holds a Master in International Maritime Law (LLM) from the Maritimde Law Institute, Msida, Malta; Bachaelor of Law (LLB) from the Louis Arthur Grimes Administration, (MSc), State Univerisity of Antwerp, under the sponsorship of Antwerp Port Engineering and Consultant (APEC) and a Bachelor Business Administration, University of Liberia (BBA).

Christina Kpabar Paelay is the Comptroller of the National Port Authority (NPA) Systems in Liberia. The NPA System has four (4) Ports: Monrovia, Buchanan, Sinoe and Harper. The Freeport of Monrovia is the main Port and it handles over 90% of Liberia’s trade.
The NPA has regulatory control over Port waters for vessel traffic movement, anchoring and berthing. She has authority to acquire land space for development into offices, warehouses, industrial estates, etc for the purpose of its own use and to lease out to prospective leases at rates set by the NPA.
Mrs. Paelay worked mainly in Property Management in the United States of America with various firms such as Washington Realty Investment Trust, First Washington Realty and Mills Corp. She also worked at the Howard University Hospital with budgeting and implementing new budge systems.
Prior to the civil war; she worked as Comptroller at the Liberia Petroleum Refining Corporation and the Liberia Telecommunication Corporation respectively. Her most recent work experience has been at the Ministry of Finance (MOF) as Director General of the Bureau of General Accounting (BGA).
Mrs. Paelay is a graduate of the University of Liberia, (BBA) and Adelphi University in New York (MBA). She is a Certified Public Accountant.
